Spring is in the Air!
Spring is starting to show itself across the Okanagan.
Longer days, softer evenings, and that first real shift in the air where everything begins to feel active again. Hillsides are greening up, early blossoms are out, and there’s a noticeable energy returning to the city. It is the time of year when people start thinking about what’s next.
That shift is showing up in the real estate market as well.
March numbers are now in, and they give us a clearer picture of how the spring market is taking shape. Activity is picking up, but it is doing so in a measured way. Inventory remains elevated, which continues to create opportunity for buyers, while sellers who are priced and positioned correctly are still seeing results.
What makes this spring interesting is the balance. We are not seeing the urgency of past peak markets, but we are also not seeing inactivity. Buyers are engaged, just more selective. Sellers are entering the market with more competition, but also with more serious eyes on their properties.
As we move further into April, this is typically when momentum builds. More listings come online, more buyers re-enter the market, and we start to see how the season will truly unfold.
If you have been waiting for the right time to make a move, this is often when clarity starts to come into focus.
